Koh Samui is the ideal destination for honeymooners, adventure seekers and those who want to explore rich marine life. The Island has all in the ambit, when it comes to nature and adventure. Koh Samui's weather and climate is tropical and monsoonal. It is important to note that the island doesn't have the same intensity of rainy season as Phuket, though the level of humidity is usually high and temperatures average around 28 degrees Celsius, yet everything looks ideal for marriage and honeymoon.

Koh Samui's weather and climate generally remain pleasant the year round and it is amazing to see that you will hardly feel any breeze any time of day or night. As the island is strategically situated on the Gulf of Thailand, it offers plenty of international standard diving sites. The ideal time for taking a diving adventure is usually between March and August, with September to November being the worst months of the year.

Three seasons clearly define Koh Samui's weather and climate. The dry season running from December to February has optimum cool temperatures, light winds, little rain and calm seas. The hot season runs between March and April, with temperatures soaring to 40°C with little or no rain. Somewhere, around late April and early May there is sudden increase in the precipitation levels, which is welcomed by the local inhabitants.

The rainy season begins from September through to November and during this time, Thailand experiences heavy rainfall regularly. There is great amount of uncertainty in the weather and the ocean is usually rough with high winds. The visibility is almost reduced to 30% of the normal levels.
